To better identify our church to those who may search on the following terms we provide the following:

  • Bible-believing. We believe the Bible was divinely inspired and has been divinely preserved for the English-speaking people in the King James Bible. Other common terms for the Bible include: King James Version, 1611 Authorized Version, 1611 AV, KJB, KJV, King James Only, KJV Only.
  • Traditional worship. We enthusiastically sing conservative and traditional Christian hymns. This is not a matter of preference for us, it is a matter of conviction. We reject the idea that we can worship a holy God with the devil's music style. We firmly reject man-centered, entertainment-heavy "contemporary" music in the church. Some may call us "old fashioned," but we simply seek to put true worship above entertainment.
  • independent Baptist. We are an independent Baptist, local church. We are Baptist by belief and not by association. We are completely independent of any non-Biblical ecclesiastical authority.
  • fundamental or "fundamentalist." We are a fundamental church. This means that we believe the historic fundamental, or basic, doctrines of the Christian faith. These fundamentals include: the verbal, plenary (or complete) inspiration of the Scriptures; the virgin birth, deity, and bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ; Salvation by faith through grace alone; and the primacy of the local church ministry. We would also align ourselves with the militant aspect of fundamentalism in the sense that we hold these beliefs deeply and passionately. For a point of reference some well-known Bible-believing fundamental Christians include: J. Frank Norris, DL Moody, Dr. Jack Hyles, Dr. Peter Ruckman (Ruckmanite), Dr. Paul Chappell, Lester Rolloff, Jack Woods, Rick DeMichele, and others (no we do not believe or endorse everything about these men--this list is just a reference)
  • soul winning. We are a soul winning church. We emphasize the personal responsibility of every born-again believer to be an active and aggressive witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Separated. We believe Christians should live holy, separated lives consistent with the Scriptures. We hold to conservative standards for ministry workers.
  • philosophy of ministry. We believe ministry should be Christ-centered, not seeker centered. Our passion is to bring the truth of Christ to a lost and dying world, not to try to make God acceptable in man's sight.
  • preaching. Preaching is one of our core values. We believe in clear, plain, passionate, and direct preaching of the word of God. We emphasize preaching in our services. While teaching has an important place in a church, the main need for today is uncompromized Bible preaching.
